AI Product Manager · India

Warm enough to earn trust.
Restless enough to actually ship.

I grew up in Varanasi, by the Ganga. I captained a robotics team in university, won a silver medal at IIM Calcutta, invented a medical device, and managed ₹900 crore in daily payments. The river taught me patience. Everything else taught me how to move.

Who I am

I'm a product leader with 8+ years across healthcare, fintech, and AI. I hold an MBA from IIM Calcutta — where I graduated as the Arvind Kumar Memorial Silver Medalist — and a B.Tech in Mechanical & Automation Engineering, where I captained both the ABU ROBOCON team and the SAEINDIA Club. I've been building things and leading teams since before I knew what a product manager was.

I'm based in India and open to remote AI PM roles with US and EU companies. I work best on hard problems in regulated industries — healthcare, fintech, infrastructure — where the cost of getting it wrong is real.

I'm an AWS Solutions Architect, have built RAG systems and AI pipelines hands-on, and can direct a data science team on algorithm selection, training data construction, and ETL design. I've negotiated with NPCI, hospital administrators, and government grant committees — sometimes in the same month.

Three products. Three domains. All shipped.

MedTech · 0→1 · 2019–2021

re-moov — Founding Product Manager, Invesalius Ortho

I invented a biomechanical device that reduces bone fracture recovery from four months to four weeks — by controlling lateral bone movement and stimulating osteoblast growth through axial loading. Then I patented it, validated it clinically, and sold it to hospitals.

Clinical trials involved 54 patients across 5 hospitals, with a 95% device functionality success rate. Alongside re-moov, I built a second product line: patient-specific implants for cranial and spinal surgery at ₹60,000 per implant, validated across 7 patients. I raised ₹35L in non-dilutive funding and generated ₹12L in revenue from 100+ unit sales.

If I did it again: I'd instrument patient outcomes from day one. We had sales data and trial success rates but not long-term recovery tracking.

Fintech · Payments at Scale · 2021–2024

Product Manager, Payments & Settlements — Canara Bank

I owned the end-to-end daily ECS settlement cycle across ~45 lakh transactions worth ₹170–180 crore every single day. When PM-KISAN and PMFBY subsidy windows opened, volumes surged 4–5×. I negotiated NPCI exemptions and delivered ₹800–900 crore to 5 million farmer beneficiaries in a single window without failure.

I cut daily mandate rejections from 70+ to under 10 out of 157 submissions and launched a B2B direct debit product that drove a 16% year-on-year profit increase.

If I did it again: I'd build funnel analytics earlier. We knew what broke but didn't know where users dropped until I manually mapped it.

AI SaaS · Predictive Maintenance · 2025

AI Product Manager (Freelance) — Tensor Planet

I joined when the company had wireframes and no data science team. I directed model development from scratch — algorithm selection, training data construction, ETL pipeline design. I specified API integrations with Samsara and Geotab and delivered a pilot-ready SaaS in four months, trained on three years of vehicle maintenance history across 60+ vehicles.

If I did it again: I'd define the "good enough to act on" threshold in discovery, not after the model was built.

What makes me different

  • Hardware → Software → AII've shipped a patented biomechanical device, managed ₹900Cr daily payment infrastructure, and built an AI SaaS from wireframes to pilot. Most PMs have depth in one. I have working fluency across all three.
  • Regulated industries, from the insideCDSCO, ISO, NPCI, RBI — navigated as a builder under real consequences. Three years at Canara Bank with zero regulatory penalties.
  • I can close a clinician and direct a data scientistI've run demos with orthopedic surgeons and closed hospital procurement cycles. I've also told a data scientist which algorithm to use. Not many PM profiles can do both.
  • A leader since day oneABU ROBOCON Captain. SAEINDIA Club Captain. Silver Medalist, IIM Calcutta. Canara Bank cricket team captain for two years. A consistent pattern, not a footnote.

Where I come from

"The Ganga doesn't hurry. It just keeps moving — and eventually reaches the sea."

I grew up in Varanasi — one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities on earth, and home to the Ganga. It's a place where cremation ghats sit next to morning prayers, where chaos and ritual coexist so naturally that you stop noticing. Growing up there gives you a particular relationship with time.

My first professional work was in Varanasi too. During my engineering years I interned with Maruti Suzuki across eleven workshops in Varanasi, Mirzapur, and Lucknow — cutting paint defects on the production line, redesigning customer complaint handling, growing after-sales revenue. Small things, but the kind that teach you how organisations actually work.

The river taught me that patience and momentum are not opposites. You can move steadily and still get somewhere. I'm not waiting. I'm moving.

Say hello

I'm open to AI PM roles with US and EU companies, remote from India. If you're building in healthtech, fintech, or enterprise AI — and you want someone who has actually shipped in regulated environments, not just written about it — I'd love to hear what you're working on.
